How do you do it all?
... Or don’t you?
Why with my superpowers of course! Okay the reality....I think the number one thing I have going for myself is my ability to organize and prioritize. Sometimes it is NOT possible to do it all. And so you have to know what to do FIRST. Staying organized with lists and calendars is essential to juggle Little League, Karate, guitar lessons, PTA, room mom, volunteering, charity work, writing, artwork, house work, making dinner and all the rest. This isn't an easy job. But I take it seriously. And give it my *all* everyday.
Can you give us 5 tips you can share with our readers that have made being a Supermom a little easier...
1. Be nice to yourself: sometimes the dinner will burn, sometimes the laundry will turn pink and one day you may even forget to pick up Billy from band practice (I am not saying I ever did that. But, um...just sayin) and you need to be NICE to yourself. Don't beat yourself up for every little thing.
2. Go Boy Scout- BE PREPARED: visualize the events of the day and walk yourself thru them. It will help you to be prepared on what to bring, what to do ahead of time etc. It is a jungle out there...so be prepared.
3. Say no to the world: there is no mom- rule that says you HAVE to volunteer in the classroom. There is no mom-rule that says you HAVE to have a playdate over 7 days a week. Learn to say no to these silly implied obligations if you want. Make time for what you NEED to do.....and then fill in the rest with what you WANT to do.
4. Suck it up: "The days go by like years and the years go by like days". You have heard this 9 million times by now. But I am gonna say it again. SOAK up your children. Suck every moment out of them. Before you know it. They are grown. And you will miss all of this.....hard to believe when you are dealing with tantrums, potty training, homework and all the rest. But it is true. I know.
5. Baby wipes aren't just for baby butts: my kids are out of diapers for over 6 years. And yet I use baby wipes everyday (car, carpet spills, sticky hands). By stock in those things. Theya re awesome. (make great eye make-up removers too btw)

What are your greatest strengths as a mother?
Humor. I am a comedian and I am helping my children learn to find the funny in everything. Because I know that no matter where life takes them, or what they must face ahead of them..if they can find the JOY in life...they will be okay. *Finding the Funny* is the best thing I can give my kids.
What are your interests?
Writing my blog The Glamorous Life Association. Comedy. Organizing. Leading. Public Speaking. Photography. Vintage anything. Music. Learning something new. Hiking. Life....I really really love life. And I have my kids to thank for that. Very glad I took this *mom* job when it was offered to me. /The pay is lousy-but the benefits are awesome.
Not my interests?
Laundry. Ironing. Emptying the dishwasher.
